Interested in planning your next exhibition at Propeller? We have opened our 2018 programming schedule and are accepting submissions! 

Propeller is a dynamic artist run centre interested in a wide spectrum of visual arts practices. The gallery's location in the heart of the Queen West gallery District, combined with it's history of exhibitions, ensure continued public interest and critical notice. Propeller provides artists at all stages of their career the opportunity to exhibit in a professional gallery venue.

The gallery accepts submissions for exhibition from artists at all stages of their careers on an ongoing basis. All exhibition proposals are reviewed quarterly by the Selection Committee.

When evaluating exhibition proposal applications, consideration is given to: the quality of the work the level of professionalism, and a demonstrated commitment to the visual arts.

All exhibition Proposals should include the following:
Exhibition or project description (max one-page).
Current curriculum vitae, or short bios of all participating artist (if applying for group exhibition).
A maximum of 20 images of current work related to your proposal. Corresponding image list containing: artist name, title of work, year, size, and medium
Propeller offers rentals of the gallery space to artists (individual or groups), charities, and arts and culture related organizations for both exhibition and other events.

Propeller's gallery space is approximately 1,100 sq. ft.

There are two spaces within the gallery: the South Gallery and the North Gallery. We offer rentals of both the South and North Gallery either separately or together. All gallery spaces are rented in two-week or three-week blocks. Requests for alternate show lengths will be considered. Please contact us for floor plans.

Propeller is located at 30 Abell Street, the heart of Toronto’s Queen West Gallery District. Our location in the Artscape Triangle Lofts attracts an eclectic mix of artists and visitors to the gallery year round. We are located one block south of Queen Street West, between Dovercourt Road and Gladstone Avenue. There is currently ongoing construction in the general area which we expect to wrap up in the coming weeks, but the gallery is accessible from Sudbury Street, Lisgar Street as well as from Queen St. via a footpoth along Abell Street. Exhibitions at Propeller are subject to rental fees as follows:

* Please note all rental fees are subject to HST. Propeller reserves the right to change rental fees without notice.
* Sales made through exhibiting at Propeller are subject to a 25% commission.
